Breast cancer impacts the lives of everyone. It may be a mother, father, grandparent, sister, brother, friend, co-worker we know a survivor, someone recently diagnosed or have lost of a loved one. In this month for breast cancer awareness I have had the opportunity to read many touching stories of woman, men and children battling or survivors and they are telling their stories. Amazing, heartfelt words to inspire and spread the word. Each story reminds the reader that early detection, overcoming the fear is vital. Breast cancer is a horrific disease. 41,000 a year die from breast cancer and every 2 seconds a person is diagnosed. This is a battle that takes more than a village. This battle requires advocating, walking, running, donating time and money. It takes spreading the word, research and information that cancer is real. It is my hope that this message inspires someone to get a mammogram, complete self-exams and take notice of their body. Let’s continue to be a part of the change and join in the fight to find a cure.
